He needs to shoot us everywhere we play. (And eat, and sleep — he makes it all look glamorous.) In contrast to the big stage in Davenport (see the July 27 post), this shoot is in a martini bar in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, overlooking a beautiful lake. It was a fun little show. We played for a good couple hours. By request we played A World Collapsed twice, the second time at double speed. Here’s Jeff’s shoot:

When our tour van blew out its power steering module and then its transmission 60 miles from the nearest town in the Mojave desert on the last tour we knew we were screwed.
We’ll let the pictures tell the story. This is where we were stranded. Not much around…

The day’s journey started in LA, at this mechanic. He was Lebanese, and this is a picture of the Chevy Bel Aire he bought in Lebanon and brought to the US back in the 50s. We were at the mechanic’s because, the night before, our power steering module went out in the basement parking garage of the Knitting Factory. We thought that would be the last of our trouble…
